After my microlinks are installed & my hair is reverted back to curly it’s time to trim down these extensions and give them some shape! Because the extensions match my texture so well, you would think it is tricky to trim them down without cutting my curls, but I trust my stylist knows what she’s doing. I think a lot of women face trauma from experiencing a dishonest hairstylist or having inches cut off when going in for a routine trim, so when they see a video like this they might project. Getting a trim isn’t something we should be “afraid” of. I’ve been luckily enough to be blessed with @_stylesbyiman_ who I trust and have built a relationship with, and I know she’ll always do right by me & her clients.

Three pieces of advice when picking a stylist:
1. DO YOUR RESEARCH! Look through before & after photos and find testimonials if you can.
2. Don’t book with someone who only cares about the money and won’t tell you NO if your hair isn’t healthy enough for the service requested.
3. Read Energy! If the stylist even seems a bit questionable, rude or dry when you ask questions about a service for YOUR hair… ISSA NO!
