This video shows you the worst habit that tourist in Africa have to my opinion, namely throwing candy to poor kids from a car. Some people think it's funny watching poor children running behind a 4 wheel car. Some people think there doing something good,... not thinking about the opposite effects that is has. First they buy the candy from people that are making 500% profit on a bag, it is not an accident that they are selling this candy, just before you drive into the bush! The kids often have a bad teeth, because toothbrushes are rare and expensive, they cannot help that they like it! When all your friends are running behind a Land-rover, you want to do that as well. It can be dangerous for them as well, certainly when people throwing things out of a car when riding a convoy. And think about it! DO YOU EAT CANDY covered with DUST and PICKED UP from the GROUND? Okay, I made my point. Kids are not monkeys. Wanna give these kids something? Bring underwear, toothbrushes, toothpaste, sanitary napkins, tampons, nail files, tools, shampoo, barrettes or shirts, whatever you can miss! Believe me, they need it all! Donate clothes, shoes, whatever before you leave the country to go home! Please, please think about my words above and stop throwing candy at poor kids from any car! Like this video?
